Competition Rules and Guidelines

General Rules

This section includes the general rules of the competition and the expected Code of Conduct


1. Eligibility:  

  • The competition is open to registered teams only.  
  • Teams must consist of 2-4  members, with each member actively participating in the presentation.  
  • Each member in the team must have attained age 18 on or before 28th February 2025
  • Each member must be either a UG/PG/Research Scholar in CHRIST (Deemed to be University)

2. Registration Process

  • Initial Registration for Online Pitch Submission
    • Registration for the online pitch submission is free of cost.
    • Registered teams will receive an email with relevant details
    • The last date to register for the competition is 15 February 2025 at 18:00 PM IST.
    • Teams will submit their pitch decks online for the preliminary round of evaluation.
  • Advancing to Semi-Finals
    • Teams selected to advance to the Semi-Finals must register by paying a fee of ₹1,000 per team.
    • This payment is required only upon qualification for the Semi-Finals.
  • Penalty for Withdrawal
    • If a team withdraws after advancing to the Top 20, they will incur a penalty of ₹700 per team, payable immediately.
    • This penalty ensures commitment and fairness to all participating teams.

2. Format:  

    The competition consists of three stages:  

  • Online Pitch Submission (Shortlisting Top 20 Teams)  
  • SemiFinals (Top 20 Teams presenting live)
  • Final Round (Top 5 Teams competing for the winning position). 

3. Code of Conduct:  

  • Teams are expected to maintain professionalism throughout the event.  
  • Any form of plagiarism, unethical behavior, or violation of rules will lead to disqualification.
  • Teams must attend all scheduled events and sessions.  
  • Any misconduct will result in disqualification.  

Online Pitch Submission

This section includes the guidelines for your initial online submissions, once your team has registered

1. Submission Requirements:  

  •     Teams must submit their pitch deck as a PDF  file via the designated platform.  
  •     The submission deadline is 15 February 2025, 11:59PM IST.  
  •     Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.

2. Shortlisting Process:  

  •     Judges will evaluate the submissions based on the scoring criteria.  
  •     The top 20 teams will be notified via email.  

Online Submission Format

Semi-Final Rounds

The Top-20 teams from the Online submissions will take part in the semi-final rounds

1. Draw of Lots for Panel:  

  • Teams will be assigned to a judging panel through a draw of lots conducted prior to the event.  
  • Presentation order will be shared with the teams at least 24 hours before the event.  

2. Presentation Format:  

  • Each team will have 5 minutes to present, followed by 2 minutes of Q&A with the judges.  
  • Presentations must be conducted in English. 

3. Pitch Upload:  

  • Teams must upload their final pitch presentation (PPT or PDF) by 16 February 2025 11:59 PM IST.  
  • Maximum of 8 slides, including the cover slide.  
  • No changes will be allowed after the deadline. 

4. Evaluation:  

  • The top 5 teams will qualify for the final round.  

Final Rounds


1. Presentation Rules:  

  •  Teams will follow the same 8-minute presentation and 5-minute Q&A format.  
  •  The final panel of judges will evaluate based on refined scoring criteria.  

2. Tie-Breaker Rule:  

  •  In case of a tie, the team with the highest score in the Impact category will be declared the winner.  

3. Results Announcement:  

  •  Winners will be announced during the closing ceremony. 

Prizes and Certificates


1. Prizes*:  

  •     First Prize: ₹15,000
  •     Runners-Up Prize: ₹10,000
  •     Second Runners-Up Prize:₹5,000
  •      Any additional incentives (e.g., mentorship, funding opportunities) will be communicated in advance. 

2. Certificates:  

    Certificates will be provided to:  

  •       All finalists.  
  •       Semifinalists.  
  •       Participants (digital certificates for non-finalists).  
    • Certificates will be distributed after the competition via email. 

Additional Guidelines


1. Time Management:  

  • Teams exceeding the allotted time during presentations will be penalized. A warning bell will ring at the 4th minute.  

2. Technical Arrangements:  

  •     A dry run will be conducted for semifinalists and finalists to address technical issues.

3. Judging Panel:  

  •     Judges will be industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and subject-matter experts.  
  •     The panel’s decisions will be final and binding.
